Salon Films was having an Open House event to introduce their services to public.

This was an ad-hoc work and only have a few days for promotion. I was informed to design the promotional items and event signage 3 days before the event. Knowing that the promotion will goes on Facebook and Instagram, I decided to make a set of pictures in square and with bright colours.

At that moment, Error Selfish Project went viral and we were pleased to have Director Mike Lau as one of our guest speaker. I took the occasion to announce the event details in his Facebook Fans Club and successfully gain over 1,500 “Likes”, nearly 200 “Shares” and have a great engagement.

Explainer Video – Nostril Corks

As the demand for motion graphics is growing in recent years, I enrolled the course offered by School of Motion – After Effect Kickstart, to learn the fundamentals of After Effect and create simple animation. Throughout 8 weeks of learning, packed with tutorials and assignments, I have selected two of my favourite works to share, an Explainer Video and a Lyrics Video.

Stop Motion Animation Summer Camp

The design is for a Stop Motion Animation Summer Camp which teach student marine conversation. A blueish colour is chosen to give people a sight of the sea. The main design is to show a paper-cutting art, as paper is one of the mediums often used in Stop Motion Animation. In the poster design, I separate the layout into three parts and show the motion from left to right to indicate a frame by frame animation.

Salon Films FILMART

Salon Films is a filmmaking servicing company and keeps supporting local filmmakers for 70 years. She is also one of the regular exhibitors in FILMART.

This work is to design their booth and one-page Ad printed in the FILMART catalog.

The difficulty I was facing is the large artwork for the booth design. The size exceeded the upper limited of the artboard that Adobe Suite can provide. I started a research to find the appropriate approach to work on this design. Finally, I learnt the artwork should design in a ratio and output back to original size by setting the ppi.
